Hi Kristine, I was surprised to see that such an educated person as yourself does not know that the "Old Testament" is a misnomer. There have been 8 "Covenants" made between the Creator, our Heavenly Father, and his creatures, mankind, and the new covenant in the Blood of Jesus Christ replaces all the others. If you do not teach Christians that to be Born-Again is the most powerful contract of all between their Creator and themselves, there is no hope for mankind. And no amount of philosophy or well-meaning words can replace the power of the name of Jesus, of the Holy Spirit and of the new birth. Don't sell sympathy, sell real power and real hope. Felicityr
Hello Kristine,
Thanks for you insight into "I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten— the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm— my great army that I sent among you. You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the Lord your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed." I'm still waiting for the full restoration myself. I don't care to share my troubles here but am attempting to helping others that have experienced the same. I've been healed through a counseling process but feel like I'm far from having the "years restored" (whatever that means for me). I feel like many opportunities were stolen from me in the years that were "eaten". I'd appreciate your prayers for learning what the restoration will look like for me and for it to happen soon. Thanks.
It is commonly accepted that divorce has a developmental impact, and often a serious one, on teenagers and young children. The effect of their parents divorce on children who are already considered adults, though, is often dismissed. Many children of divorce have trouble finding a mate and creating lasting relationships and marriages themselves. While some of these conclusions are contested, they tend to be taken for granted in the popular lexicon. Studies indicate that the most damaging effect of divorce on children arises early in their adult life. Visit Quick Divorce UK for more information.
